Privacy Policy
BRACU Exam AttendSheet Saver is a Chrome extension designed to simplify downloading exam attendance sheets from the BRAC University Connect portal. This Privacy Policy explains how the extension handles information when you use it.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect, sell, rent, or maintain a remote database of users' personal data. The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or external data-collection services.
2. Information Processed Locally
When you actively use the extension, information displayed by the BRAC University Connect attendance-sheet page may be read and processed locally in your browser. This can include portal selections such as academic degree, semester, course, student filter, and attendance-sheet section information.
PDF data generated by the portal may also be processed locally so the extension can save individual attendance sheets and, when requested, merge them into a single PDF.
3. Login Credentials and Authentication
The extension does not ask users to enter their BRAC University Connect username or password into the extension, and it does not transmit or store those credentials. Portal authentication is handled by the BRAC University Connect website.
4. Downloads
The extension uses Chrome's downloads functionality to save attendance-sheet PDFs and optionally a merged PDF to the user's chosen Chrome download location. It does not scan, read, upload, or otherwise process unrelated files in the user's Downloads folder.
5. Website Access
The extension requires access to connect.bracu.ac.bd because its purpose is to interact with the BRAC University Connect exam attendance-sheet page. It does not intentionally operate on unrelated websites.
6. Debugger Permission
The extension uses Chrome's debugger capability during an active attendance-sheet download to capture the original PDF response generated by the BRAC University Connect page. This is necessary for reliably obtaining the PDF data used for the requested download and optional PDF merging.
Debugger access is not used for monitoring, analytics, tracking, or collecting unrelated browsing information.
7. Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell, rent, or transfer user data to third parties. The extension does not send attendance-sheet data or portal information to an external server operated by the developer.
8. Remote Code
The extension does not download or execute remotely hosted JavaScript or other executable code. Its executable code is packaged with the extension.
9. Data Security
Because the extension performs its processing locally in the browser and does not maintain an external data-collection service, attendance-sheet information is not uploaded to a developer-controlled server by the extension.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the extension's functionality or data practices change. Any updated version will be published at the same policy URL with a revised effective date.
